I was lying in the bin of sin,
There came a man, tall and thin.
He gave me his sacred hand
And helped me to stand.
Jesus was his name, he said,
The one who had risen from the dead.
He took me in his arms
And showed me his palms,
The wounds caused by the tails
Of the big blunt nails.
He said to me, “My beloved son,
Now rejoice and tell everyone
That your sins are forgiven
By your Father in Heaven,
By the blood that I shed for you
And for your fellowmen too.
I am the God for you and for all.
With me, my child, you will never fall.
